Clarence W. "Wuzzy" Deibert, age 82 of Highland, IL, died Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Highland Health Care Center in Highland, IL. He was born on Friday, September 01, 1933, in Highland, IL, the son of Clarence and Alice (nee Rutz) Deibert. On Saturday, December 12, 1959, he married Dorothy M. Deibert nee Strebel at E & R Church, Grantfork, IL, who survives. He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, IL; VFW Post 5694-Highland, IL; IBEW Local 309-Collinsville, IL; former member- Highland Pistol & Rifle Club & Jamestown Coon Hunter's Club. Clarence was born and reared in Highland, IL. He graduated from Highland High School in 1951. He served four years in the US Navy. He was an electrician for 25 years and a hobby farmer south of Highland raising hogs and grain. On the farm he built a large lake where he enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed playing cards at Ed & Millie's and bowled at Hi-Top. Survivors include: Wife - Dorothy M. Deibert (nee Strebel), Highland, IL Daughter - Nancy A. (Significant Other Tami Jakel) Goebel, Highland, IL Grandchild - Jennifer M. Morstain, Alton, IL Grandchild - Laura A. (Jason) Reiling, Highland, IL Grandchild - Andrew S. (Rebecca) Casper, Highland, IL Grandchild - Emily M. Casper, Highland, IL Great Grandchild - Abbey L. Casper Great Grandchild - Allison E. Reiling Great Grandchild - Kaleigh E. Casper Great Grandchild - Laynei A. Casper Great Grandchild - Ruby M. Goebel. He was preceded in death by: Father - Clarence M. "Butch" Deibert (06/29/2003) Mother - Alice C. Deibert (02/13/1995) Daughter In-law - Maria Deibert (nee Steinman) (08/03/2015) Brother - Dennie J. Deibert (08/01/1994). Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL., with Rev. Christopher W. Hill, Senior Pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Charity of the Donor's Choice.
