Burnell L. J. Bosshart, age 74 of Highland, IL, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at his residence in Highland, IL. He was born on Saturday, May 13, 1939, in Highland, IL, the son of Lester John and Stella Helen (nee Landmann) Bosshart. On Sunday, December 20, 1959, he married Delores Jean "Dee" Bosshart (nee Strasen) who passed away on Friday, November 13, 2009. He was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church, Highland, Illinois. Burnell was born and reared at Highland, IL; attended Highland schools and served with the US Navy with duty on the west coast aboard the USS Lexington. After his discharge he returned to Highland and Oct 26, 1960, he went to work for the City of Highland, in the Electric Power Plant; Oct 24, 1977, promoted to Plant Foreman and May 31, 1994 retired as Plant Supervisor. He loved to tinker (take things apart and put it back together); going to yard sales; welding and fabricating; working on cars.
