Betty A. Suhre, age 87 of Manchester, MI, died Friday, May 03, 2019, at her home in Manchester, MI. She was born on Tuesday, March 29, 1932, in East Alton, IL, the daughter of Albert and Anna (nee Baldwin) Travis. On Saturday, July 12, 1958, she married Darrell G. Suhre at St. John's United Church of Christ, Wood River, IL, who passed away on Monday, December 04, 2017. She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ, Manchester, MI. Born at Wood River, IL; graduated from East Alton High School, East Alton, IL, in 1950. She was a stay at home mom until the late 1960's while living in Detroit, MI. In 1999 they moved to Manchester, MI. She retired from G.S.E. in the mid 1990's. She loved playing Bunco, researching genealogy, an avid reader, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include: Son - Rodney A. (Eva) Suhre, Highland, IL Son - Jeffrey A. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Bethel United Church of Christ in Manchester, MI, with Rev. David Bucholtz officiating. Graveside Service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Salem Cemetery in Alhambra, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis Center-Chelsea, MI.
