Betty J. Daiber

Betty J. Daiber, age 87 of New Douglas, IL, died Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL. She was born on Wednesday, August 29, 1928, in Livingston, IL, the daughter of Michael and Amelia (nee Sikora) Mriscin. On Saturday, April 03, 1948, she married Lester A. Daiber, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Staunton, IL. She was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Grantfork, IL, and ATA Alhambra. Mrs. Daiber was born and raised at Livingston, IL, and moved to Staunton, IL. After her marriage, she lived south of Alhambra, IL. They rented and later purchased a farm East of Alhambra and were in the grain and dairy cattle business. They enjoyed traveling, listening to country music, and dancing on Saturday nights. She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include: Son - Leonard D. (Margie) Daiber, Kirkwood, MO Son - David M. Daiber (Died 7/5/2005) Son - Jerry L. Daiber (Died 12/14/1994) Grandchild - Shelly Marshall (Died 5/21/2016) Grandchild In-law - Micheal Marshall, Sr. (Died 5/21/2016) Brother - Michael Mriscin Brother - John Mriscin Brother - George Mriscin Sister - Mary Hendricks Brother - Frank E. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Saint Gertrude Catholic Church in Grantfork, IL., with Father Scott A. Snider, officiating. Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation.
