Bessie M. Kynion, age 84 of Marine, IL, died Tuesday, December 09, 2014, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. She was born on Sunday, December 15, 1929, in Birch Tree, MO, the daughter of John and Grace P. (nee Vaughn) McLemore. On Thursday, August 22, 1946, she married Everette E. Kynion who passed away on Saturday, March 03, 2012. She was a member of Saint Jacob United Church of Christ, St. Jacob, IL, American Legion Auxiliary-Marine, IL. Mrs. Kynion was born in Chaffee, MO, attended county school, and worked at the Chaffee Shoe Factory. After her marriage, she lived in Chaffee, MO for two years, then moved to Granite City. In 1962, they moved to Marine, IL. She loved to play Bingo, was always helping people, and participated in all church functions. "Mom's family was her life." Survivors include: Son - Charles E. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Saint Jacob United Church of Christ in Saint Jacob, IL. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Saint Jacob United Church of Christ in Saint Jacob, IL, with Rev. Gary Kniepkamp, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Marine Cemetery in Marine, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Hoyleton Home.
