Alvin J. Frank

Alvin J. \"Bud\" Frank, age 87 of Marine, IL, died Sunday, October 10, 2010, at Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born on Sunday, November 26, 1922, in Alhambra, IL, the son of Clem and Alma (nee Ohren) Frank. On Saturday, June 19, 1948, he married Lucille Frank (nee Prott) who survives. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. He was also a member of former member of Labor Local #100 - E. St. Louis, IL; Marine Senior Citizens - Marine, IL. Born in Alhambra Township northeast of Marine, Illinois; grew up on farm. He worked as a farmhand as well as for Convoy Heel Company in Marine and St. Louis, Missouri; later for Olin Corporation in the Western Cartridge Division; US Radiator in Edwardsville and then construction. From 1954 to 1977 he worked for Illinois American Water Works retiring in 1977. He also raised livestock and grain farmed until 1991; he then rented his ground out. Mr. Frank enjoyed hunting; fishing; bowling at Grantfork Bowl and later Hi Top Bowl; and playing cards, such as pinochle, jass, and euchre. His hobbies were grandchildren and great grandchildren.
