Albert O. Kharibian

Albert Oscar Kharibian, age 82, of Highland, IL., died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL. He was born February 18, 1924, in Cambridge, MA., the son of Oscar and Irene (Perry) Kharibian. On February 3, 1946, he married Opal M. (Dobbs) Kharibian (DOD 3/14/2003) , who passed away March 14, 2003. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church-Cahokia, IL. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus#1580-Highland,IL VFW Post #5694-Highland, IL. Born and grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was in the U.S. Coast Gaurd 1942-2946 with duty aboard the CGC Fern and the USCGC Campbell. Following marriage, lived at Cambridge MA; moved to Jefferson Barracks, MO in 1953; later lived at Cahokia for 45 years; moved to Highland in June 2000. Worked at Falstaff Brewery, St. Clair County Highway Dept. and Cooper Barge Terminal. Loved to fish, tinker with electric things and watch his grandchildren play sports. Matecki of Cahokia, Ill., Grandchild-Dana M. Kharibian of Columbia, Ill., Grandchild-Eric A. Kharibian of Greenville, Ill., Grandchild-Jessica M. (Konrad) Faries of Caholia, Ill., Grandchild-Gary A. Kharibian, Jr. of Highland, Ill., Grandchild-Logan M. Kharibian of Highland, Ill., Grandchild-in-law-Cathleen S. Kronk of Highland, Ill., Great Grandchild-Brennen M. Kronk of Highland, Ill., Great Grandchild-Jordyn M. Edwards of Columbia, Ill., Great Grandchild-Megan M.
