Adelia F. Rusteberg

Adelia Frieda Rusteberg, age 85, of Moriarty, NM., died Monday, October 26, 2009, at her residence in Moriarty, NM. She was born May 18, 1924, in Valmeyer, IL., the daughter of Herman and Ollie (Illert) Louer. On October 17, 1941, she married Homer C. Rusteberg, who passed away September 16, 1983. Born near Valmeyer, IL; grew up on the farm. She married Homer C. Rusteberg and her and her husband farmed at Valmeyer. They moved to Highland in 1962 to a farm northeast of town. They moved into town of Highland in 1969. She moved to Moriarty, NM in the late 1990\'s to be with her daughter. Besides farming she worked many jobs for numerous companies. She was an excellent seamstress and did alterations and sewed dresses in her home. She was a former member of Evangelical United Church of Christ. She was also a former member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter in Columbia, IL; former member Estancia Valley VFW Aux. to Ike Cole Post 3380. Survivors include Son-Homer H. (John) Gappa of Las Vegas, Nev., Grandchild-Melissa K. \"Missie\" (Kenneth) Grapperhaus of St. Charles, Mo., Grandchild-Timothy M. \"Tim\" (Michelle) Rusteberg of Highland, Ill., Grandchild-Christina M. Thacker of Albuquerque, NM, Grandchild-Matthew G. \"Matt\" Rusteberg of Highland, Ill., Step-Granddaughter-Dr. Jennifer R. Martin, DC of St. Charles, Mo., Great Grandchild-Gage S.
