William J. "Bill" Mollet

William J. "Bill" Mollet, age 93 of Highland, IL, died Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Faith Care Center in Highland, IL. He was born November 08, 1922, in Highland, IL, the son of Robert and Milda (nee Welchlen) Mollet. On November 20, 1945, he married Marguerite R. Polin at Madeliene Catherdral in Sevran, France. She passed away February 17,1963. On August 09, 1968, he married Mary Ann Carman nee Schwierjohn, who passed away on July 8,1988. He was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. He was also a member of Perpetual Eucharist Service (15 years) @ St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL; VFW Post 5694 (50 + years) Highland, IL. Mr. Mollet was born in Highland, IL. He graduated from St. Paul High School, Highland, IL, in 1940. Active duty with the US Army, served with the 46th Chemical Laboratory Company in England and France, from 1943 to 1946, during the World War II. He worked at the Ford dealership in Highland from 1940 to 1955. He worked at Basler Electric Company, Highland, IL, from 1955 to 1992, as a Industrial Engineer. He retired, June of 1992. He enjoyed Cardinal Baseball, NASCAR Racing, attending the Highland Speedway, riding his Yamaha Motorcycle until the 1980's, then his bicycle, and "Bumper" his dog. "Satch" Mollet (died 7/31/1997) Sister - Zitha A. Duncan (died 7/30/2011) Sister - Beulah R. Humpler (died 2/25/2004) Brother - Robert E. Mollet, Jr. (died 7/11/1999) Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL, with Father Charles A. Edwards officiating. Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, IL with full Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Educational Foundation or Highland Right To Life Society.
