Pauline C. Thuenemann, age 82 of Highland, IL, died Monday, August 24, 2015, at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, IL. She was born March 09, 1933, in Aviston, IL, the daughter of Theodore and Helena (nee Wolters) Frohn. On May 11, 1955, she married Vincent Bernard "Van" Thuenemann who passed away on January 06, 2014. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. She was also a member of Ladies Auxiliary to Knights of Columbus #1580. Pauline was born at Aviston, IL; grew up and helped on the family farm. She worked for Brown Shoe Company in Trenton, IL. She married and lived in New Jersey while her husband was in the service. They moved to Highland in 1956. She reared her family. She worked for Pamida, Sears and Shopper's Review. She was active in taking care of her grandchildren. She and her husband were very active with Knight of Columbus. She had been a caregiver for Jeannette Graham for years. They loved to travel to Europe, Hawaii, Western States. She was a fan of Neil Diamond and her favorite song was "Sweet Caroline". Survivors include: Son - Alan S. Frohn (Died 04/12/1999) Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL, with Father Pat G. Jakel, Highland, IL officiating. Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Joseph Hospital; Highland Area Christian Service Ministry (Food Pantry).
