Marvin L. Stille, age 78 of Alhambra, IL, died Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL. He was born on Tuesday, September 26, 1933, in Hamel Township, IL, the son of Arthur and Hilda (nee Rohkaste) Stille. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ; past Sunday School Superintendent; past church council president; Salem Church Men\'s Fellowship; Hitz Memorial Home Board of Directors, 8 yrs; Board of World Missions of UCC, 6 yrs.; Madison County Farm Bureau, board member 14 yrs, president 3 years; Madison Co Service Co; IL Governor\'s Speakers Bureau for Agriculture; Farm Bureau Young Farmers Committee 1958-1960; Sanitary Milk Producers, Board of Directors; IL American Dairy Association, Board of Directors; Alhambra American Legion #1147. Marvin was born at Hamel Township, Illinois. He served with the US Army from Nov 1953 to August 1955. He was a dairy farmer who farmed northeast of Alhambra, he dairy farmed until 1980 and continued farming until March 1991. From 1983 to 2000 he was a rural mail carrier for Alhambra and Marine, IL. His love was his God and church, wife and family, and the family farm. He was awarded the Highland Jaycee Outstanding Young Farmer\'s Award in 1968; the Madison County 4-H Alumni Award; and the Madison County Farm Bureau Loyalty Award.
