Margaret J. Pruett nee Kirby

Margaret Jane Pruett, age 87 of Highland, IL, died Friday, January 31, 2014, at Liberty Village of Maryville in Maryville, IL. She was born March 07, 1926, in Paoli, IN, the daughter of Clyde Lingle and Faye Agnes (nee Mattox) Kirby. On September 27, 1955, she married Cecil Laverne Pruett who passed away December 17, 2001. She was a member of Highland Hope United Methodist Church. Mrs. Pruett was born in Orange County, Indiana (near Paoli); she grew up there. Following her marriage, she and her husband had lived in Texas, Kansas, Kentucky, and for over 20 years operated Pruett's Refrigeration Service in Greensburg, IN. They had retired and lived in Las Vegas for about 3 years; came to the Metro East Area about 1989 and to Highland, IL in 1993. In her younger years, Mrs. Pruett enjoyed watching T.V., crocheting, snowmobiling, and travel. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include : Son - Michael C. Pruett, Greensburg, IN Great Grandchild - Lucas J. Armstrong, Greenwood, IN She was preceded in death by: Father - Clyde Lingle Kirby Mother - Faye Agnes Kirby nee Mattox Husband - Cecil L. Pruett died 12/17/2001 Sister - Frances Condra Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, February 03, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, February 04, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 04, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. Dr. Beverly Wilkes Null and Chaplain Mike Allen officiating. Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Hope United Methodist Church or VNA TIP Hospice.
