Floyd T. Parks

Floyd T. Parks, age 88 of Shiloh, IL, died Monday, January 02, 2012, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL. He was born on Saturday, May 26, 1923, in East Saint Louis, IL, the son of Floyd T and Susie (nee Boyle) Parks. He married Mildred R. Zeisel, July 3, 1946, she passed away August 28, 1969. He later married Doris J. Kirkpatrick, (nee Tebow) March 17, 1973, she passed away September 21, 2002. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #5694 - Highland, IL - Life member; American Legoin, Post #978 - Fairview Heights, IL; Gothic Masonic Lodge # 852 - Belleville, IL - Life member; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Southern IL-Belleville, IL - Senior member 35 years; Former Member of Ainad Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S.(Shriners) - E.St.Louis,IL;Former Member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, East St. Louis, IL (served several terms as President of the Church Council); and Former Member of Evangelical United Church of Christ - Highland, IL. Mr. Parks was born and raised in E. St. Louis, IL. He served four years with the US Army, active duty during WW II; honorable discharge in October of 1945. In 1950, he started working for the Monsanto Company, St. Louis, MO. He and his wife moved to Fairview Heights in 1959. In 1983 he retired from Monsanto Chemical Co. In December of 1990 he and his wife Doris moved to Highland, IL; in 2001 he moved to Shiloh, IL. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and music (especially the Big Band music). (Candace) Kirkpatrick, Mountain Home, AR Sister - Jean M. Prokopf, Swansea, IL Brother - Robert G. Weilbacher, Orange, CA Brother In-law - William (Aggie) Zeisel, Fairview Heights, IL Sister In-law - Mary Ann Myers, Highland, IL Many Grandchildren Many Great Grandchildren Many Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by: Father - Floyd T. Parks (died 1923, when Floyd was 6 wks old) Mother - Susie Parks-Weilbacher nee Boyle Dad - George Weilbacher 1st Wife - Mildred R. Parks nee Zeisel (married 7/3/1946; died 8/28/1969) 2nd Wife - Doris J. Parks nee Tebow (married 3/17/1973; died 9/21/2002).
