Dolores J. Espenschied

Dolores J. Espenschied nee Wilson, age 83, of Plano, TX, died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at her residence in Plano, TX. She was born August 14, 1930, in Saint Louis, MO, the daughter of Frank and Era (nee Johnston) Wilson. On September 17, 1949, she married Merle Espenschied, who passed away on April 23, 1999. She was a member of US Bowling Congress. Dolores was born at St. Louis, MO. She moved to Marine and she and her husband lived at the corner of Marine and Fruit Road; where she reared her children. She worked for SIUE in the Grants and Research Project Department. She and her husband moved to Plano, TX in the fall of 1978. She worked for University of Texas at Dallas in the Grants and Research Project Department; she retired in 1989. She enjoyed bowling, crafts, doing yard work, reading, taking long walks and bowling tournaments. She liked watching the Texas Rangers and she kept score at her son’s games. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include: Son – Dennis E. (Lenne) Espenschied of Atlanta, GA Daughter – Nancy J. (Robert) Spurlock of Richardson, TX Grandchild - Andrew (Jessica) Foederer of The Woodlands, TX Grandchild – Whitney Foederer of Atlanta, GA Grandchild – Erich Espenschied of Atlanta, GA Grandchild – Leslie Espenschied of Atlanta, GA Great Grandchild – Audrey Foederer of The Woodlands, TX Great Grandchild – Logan Foederer of The Woodlands, TX Great Grandchild – Clara Foederer of The Woodland, TX Brother – Edward Wilson of Richardson, TX She was preceded in death by: Husband - Merle Espenschied died 4/23/1999 Father - Frank Wilson Mother - Era Wilson nee Johnston Twins – Infants 1951 Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Marine, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Marine, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, on Friday, March 21, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Marine, IL. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM, on Friday, March 21, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Marine, IL, with Rev. Jerry Amiri, Pastor, Salem United Church of Christ of Alhambra, IL, officiating. Interment with be at Marine Cemetery in Marine, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or VNA Hospice.
