Scott A. Wernle
Scott A. Wernle, age 45, of Highland, IL., died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL.
He was born October 30, 1964, in Highland, IL., the son of Wayne and Maxine (nee Henschen) Wernle.
On May 4, 1990, he married Linda P. (nee Mannhard) Wernle , who survives.
He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ-Alhambra, IL; and Madison County Farm Bureau.
He grew up in New Douglas, IL; graduated from Highland High School, Highland, IL, in 1982. He worked for Highland Supply; drove trucks for Mark Abert Trucking; and farmed south of New Douglas with Mark Abert. He was in the Tuesday Night Mixed Bowling League at Grantfork and played in the VFW Over 40 Softball League at Highland. Ken Schader was his Nascar Driver; Scott was part of the pit crew for #33 Dennis Wernle on the dirt track. He enjoyed playing miniature golf; camping; going to auctions; riding roller coasters; going to go-kart races; his sons baseball and soccer games; Saturday night was pizza and a movie night; and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

(Nicole "Nikki") Wernle of Trenton, Ill., Nephew-Kyle J. Roberts of Sorento, Ill., Niece-Victoria L. "Tori" Wernle of Gillespie, Ill., Niece-Stephanie M. Wernle of Gillespie, Ill., Niece-Jorja M. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home .
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Saint Gertrude Catholic Church in Grantfork, IL, with Rev.Fr. David L. Peters, officiating.
Interment will be at St. Gertrude Catholic Cemetery in Grantfork, Ill.
Memorial contributions may be made to Family (for the children\\\'s education).
