Dwight C. Rogier, Jr.
Dwight C. Rogier, Jr., 69 of Highland, IL, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, IL.
Mr. Rogier was born September 9, 1940, in Highland, IL to Dwight Charles and Lola Viola nee Malan Rogier. He married Carol Irene Wagner on August 10, 1985 at Bethany Baptist Church. She preceded him in death on November 18, 2001. He was also preceded in death by his father on June 15, 1083, and his mother on November 26, 1990.
Mr. Rogier attended Forister School in Sebastopol, IL, for several years before attending Highland Public Schools from 1948 until graduation from Highland High School in 1958.
In 1959 he spent six months in Basic Training with the U.S. Army, followed by six years in the active Army Reserve. He worked at Basler Electric Company in Highland from 1959 to 1973, employed as foreman for eight years. He actively farmed in the area from 1973 to 2008.
He is survived by his daughter Jennifer R. Rogier of Highland, brother Dale M. (Barbara) Rogier of Highland, brother Don L. (Jacqueline) Rogier of Highland, sister Doralee J. Rogier of Lawrence, Kansas, sister Diana A. (John) D'Aboy of Lacey, Washington, sister Nancy C. Cox of Rossville, Illinois, eight nephews, seven nieces, fourteen great nephews, seven great nieces, twelve living and four deceased cousins.
He loved his family and spending time with his daughter. He had a love for the outdoors and driving the combine. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and he was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at First Congregational Church in Highland, IL., with Rev. Dr. Maurice R. Smith Pastor, First Congregational Church,
Highland, IL officiating.
Interment will be at Gullick Cemetery in Highland, Ill.
