Mary M. Thole
Mary Magdalene (Barth) Thole, age 84, of Highland, IL., died Friday, March 5, 2010, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL.
She was born June 22, 1925, in St. Rose, IL., the daughter of Rudolph and Elizabeth (Lager) Barth.
On June 18, 1957, she married Lawrence F. Thole, who passed away February 21, 2007.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
She was also a member of Weinheimer Senior Citizens.
She wes born at St. Rose, IL and grew up on a farm, attended St. Rose Grade School. She worked at home; then St. Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL; Moulton-Bartley Shoe Factory until it closed; then went to work at Trenton Shoe Factory. After her marriage, she and her husband started a dairy farm in 1965 and dairyed until 1983. They then moved to Highland in 1986.
She enjoyed playing bingo, police academy, playing card, crocheting and canvas crafts.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Thole of Highland, Ill., Grandchild-Christopher L. Thole of Carlyle, Ill., Grandchild-Kayla R. Rutz of Highland, Ill., Grandchild-Sage E. Thole of Highland, Ill., Sister-Elizabeth "Betty" (Noe) Rohling of Trenton, Ill., Sister-in-law-Dorothy Thole of Highland, Ill.
She was preceded in death by Father-Rudolph Barth (died 5/18/1959), Mother-Elizabeth Barth, nee Lager (died 4/22/1963), Husband-Lawrence F. Thole (died 2/21/2007), Daughter-Magdalene Thole (stillborn twin 1959), Daughter-Marie Thole (stillborn twin 1959), Sister-Mary Ann Tebbe (died 1/18/1938), Brother-August "Bud" Barth (died 7/26/1997), Brother-Matthew John Barth (died 3/19/1931)
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Ill.Service InformationVisitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM Monday, March 8, 2010, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 8, 2010, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL., with Rev. Father Charles A. Edwards, Pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church - Highland, Illinois officiating.
Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, Ill.
Memorial contributions may be made to Masses or St. Joseph Hospital Foundation.
