Highland
Location
Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home’s Highland location has served
the families of Highland and the surrounding area for over a
century. It was founded in 1902 by Louis Spengel under the
original name, “Highland House Furnishing Company”, where
furniture and appliances were sold with “undertaking as a
specialty”. For many years, it then operated as Spengel
Funeral Home. In 1940, the residence of Louis Wick was
acquired and remodeled to serve as a home for funerals. The
Boulanger Funeral Home was acquired in 1959 and the two names
were merged.
The
building has a large casket selection room, library, and
offers a visitation/chapel area, lounge, and conference room
that provide ample space for both small and large gatherings.
The facility is handicapped accessible.

Marine Location
In
1975, Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home acquired the Halleman
Funeral Home in Marine. This building is conveniently located
on the East side of the city park and has a large
visitation/chapel room and lounge.

In 1956,
Dauderman West End Mortuary was founded by Robert M. and Carol
Dauderman. In 1962, they purchased the building and business
known as Dauderman Funeral Home from Robert F. Dauderman, who
started his business in the early 1900s, and combined the
operation.
Today,
Dauderman Mortuary is merged with Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home.
The
location features a casket selection room, visitation/chapel area,
lounge, and meeting area. The exterior of the building was
recently remodeled and is handicapped accessible.

Dauderman Mortuary - Hamel Location
This
facility was established in 1957 by Bob and Carol Dauderman
and merged with Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in 2000. It is
located at the main intersection on the scenic U.S. Route 66
in Hamel.
It
features a visitation/chapel area, meeting room, and lounge.
